Alomar Drive

A modest residential yard is reworked through clarity of layout and restraint in form, creating a landscape that feels open, usable, and quietly resolved. The design simplifies the site into a series of aligned planes, allowing space, proportion, and material to define the experience.

Lawn, paving, and pool edge are composed to read as a continuous surface, with circulation integrated into the geometry rather than applied. A putting green is introduced as a functional plane within the landscape, aligned with the overall composition so it reads as part of the design rather than a separate element.

Seating areas are positioned to feel natural and unobtrusive, supporting everyday use without interrupting the clarity of the space. The result is a landscape that feels calm and intentional, where small moves create a strong and lasting impact.

Design Approach

The landscape is organized through a clear geometric framework that establishes order across the site. Rectilinear paving elements are set within the lawn to guide movement while maintaining visual continuity.

Material selection is minimal and controlled. Concrete and turf are used in contrast to define edges and surfaces, allowing the composition to remain simple and legible. The putting area is integrated as a precise surface within this framework, reinforcing the geometry while supporting use.

Planting is restrained and perimeter-focused, creating a soft boundary that frames the space without enclosing it. The interior remains open, reinforcing the sense of scale within a limited footprint.

The pool edge is treated as part of the overall composition, aligning with adjacent planes to maintain continuity. Each element is reduced to its essential form, resulting in a landscape that is precise, functional, and quietly cohesive.
