Beverly Hills Estate Vision

Developed as a visionary residential estate concept in Beverly Hills, this project explores the integration of architecture, landscape, wellness, recreation, and outdoor living within a unified estate environment. Organized around a central courtyard and a series of interconnected gardens, the design creates a seamless relationship between built form and landscape while establishing a strong sense of privacy, retreat, and connection to nature.

The landscape framework transforms the property into a collection of distinct outdoor destinations linked through carefully choreographed circulation, layered planting, and architectural outdoor rooms. Arrival courts, wellness spaces, gathering areas, and resort inspired amenities are woven throughout the site, creating a residential environment that balances everyday living with opportunities for relaxation, entertainment, and reflection.

Although unbuilt, the project demonstrates a comprehensive approach to estate planning and landscape architecture, illustrating how large residential properties can be organized into cohesive environments where architecture, landscape, and lifestyle are fully integrated.

Design Approach

The landscape is organized around a central courtyard that serves as the heart of the estate, creating visual connections between the architecture and surrounding gardens while establishing a sense of enclosure and tranquility. Outdoor spaces extend from the residence through a series of terraces, garden rooms, pathways, and recreational environments that support a variety of experiences throughout the property.

Planting is used to create structure, privacy, and seasonal interest while softening the architectural composition. Existing mature trees are preserved where possible and supplemented with palms, specimen trees, layered hedges, and drought tolerant planting to establish a lush yet controlled landscape character. The planting strategy creates distinct garden environments while maintaining continuity across the estate.

Arrival sequences are carefully designed to balance privacy and presence. Layered planting, architectural walls, and framed views guide visitors through the property while gradually revealing the architecture and landscape beyond. The front landscape establishes a strong streetscape presence while screening private outdoor living areas from neighboring properties.

Outdoor amenities are integrated as extensions of the architecture, including wellness spaces, gathering terraces, courtyards, and recreational environments that encourage year round use. Water features, garden spaces, and shaded outdoor rooms contribute to a resort inspired atmosphere while reinforcing the relationship between indoor and outdoor living.

The result is a cohesive estate vision where architecture, landscape, and lifestyle are brought together through a carefully organized framework of gardens, outdoor rooms, and immersive landscape experiences that celebrate the character and luxury of Beverly Hills residential living.
