The Sculpted Garden

Status: In Progress – Rendering

The Sculpted Garden is conceived as a contemporary residential landscape shaped through clean geometry, layered planting, and carefully framed outdoor spaces. Located in West Hollywood, the project transforms a compact urban property into a refined sequence of garden rooms that balance privacy, openness, and connection to the architecture.

Strong linear forms, textured materials, and sculptural planting compositions create a landscape that feels both intimate and architectural. Water, stone, and planting are integrated throughout the site to establish a calm atmosphere while reinforcing the contemporary character of the residence.

Design Approach

The landscape is organized through a series of interconnected terraces, circulation paths, and outdoor living spaces that create continuity between interior and exterior environments. Architectural walls, raised planters, and integrated seating elements establish spatial definition while maintaining visual openness throughout the property.

Planting is composed as a sculptural framework of drought tolerant and Mediterranean influenced material selected for texture, form, and seasonal variation. Layered grasses, succulents, olive trees, and flowering shrubs soften the architectural edges while reinforcing the calm, contemporary atmosphere of the garden.

Water features, linear paving compositions, and subtle material transitions contribute to the overall clarity of the landscape while supporting a seamless outdoor living experience. The result is a modern West Hollywood garden that combines architecture, planting, and materiality into a cohesive and immersive residential environment.
