Wilshire Blvd
Located along Wilshire Boulevard in the heart of Miracle Mile, this commercial landscape was designed for the offices of Mia Lehrer + Associates as a contemporary urban environment that balances architecture, planting, and pedestrian experience within one of Los Angeles’ most active commercial corridors.
The landscape creates a calm and welcoming arrival experience through layered planting, sculptural greenery, and integrated outdoor spaces that soften the urban setting while reinforcing the contemporary character of the office environment. Outdoor circulation areas, gathering spaces, and planted edges establish a landscape that feels connected to both the surrounding city and the creative culture of the design studio.
Design Approach
The landscape is organized through a series of pedestrian pathways, courtyard spaces, and integrated planting areas that strengthen the relationship between architecture and outdoor environment. Planting compositions are designed to create texture, shade, and seasonal variation while contributing to a more human scaled experience along the Wilshire Boulevard streetscape.
A drought tolerant and California climate responsive planting palette composed of grasses, sculptural succulents, flowering shrubs, and layered greenery reinforces the contemporary identity of the project while supporting long term environmental performance. Material selections emphasize simplicity, durability, and integration with the surrounding architectural framework.
The result is a contemporary commercial landscape that combines planting, circulation, and outdoor gathering into a cohesive urban environment reflective of the creative and progressive design culture associated with Miracle Mile and Los Angeles.
